Magazine Submissions and News

I will shortly be submitting my new work to a prestigious poetry magazine. So naturally, my time has been spent working on that. I am also hard at work on my epic poem Mirror of Elysium. But do not be discouraged (do you hear the words dripping with overbearing conceit) do not fret yourself, over the prospect of getting to read my poetry on this blog again. I will spent this week in a flurry of activity, including writing Triolets, and Sonnets for my adoring (its dripping again) fans.

In the mean time I will leave you with the opening lines from a speech I am writing for Mirror of Elysium. This is from the Goddess Muse Aoide

She said, “Return the fulsome days gone by
And see me stretch and sail for open sky.
I’ll take with me a lyre and a pen,
So down below, on bloody field and fen,
The history will stay as much a part
Of simple people as their wooden cart.
Our friendly helper shows me shapes serene,
Of battles waging o’er a lesser queen,
Her favor is more precious than the gods,
And to her throne men send their bleeding lauds.

“A hero, from the rubble of a town,
Arises to the scepter and the crown.
His valor frightens Hades well away-
Immortal just by keeping death at bay

Have a good night, and God bless you.
